Senior Manager of UX Research

  • Built and managed a multinational user research team within the Docker organization. Wrote the job descriptions for different roles and hired a 4-person team of 1 Senior UX researcher, 2 UX Researchers and an intern. Held accountable for performance evaluations, coaching for top performance, promotions, and task assignment and management.

  • Led the Research team to support Docker business units including the core product, ecosystem and collaboration tools to understand customer needs and wants.

  • Onboarded 5 research tools and developed training in tools and methods.

  • Built a Participant Database of over 6000 Docker customers interested in research opportunities which could be used for research activities across the company.  Managed budgets for recruiting and paying customers.

  • Developed a Voice of the Customer database to collect customer input and feedback throughout the company. 

  • Conducted 30+ research studies and 60+ surveys to drive product with developer research as both an individual contributor and team manager.  Impacted the core product, Docker Scout, and other new initiative products that haven't been released yet.  Improved the NPS from 47 to 52 over multiple releases.

  • Developed and iterated on Docker Personas, conducting research to add new and update existing personas.  Added 4 new personas to help with development of new products.

  • Developed training on Research tools and techniques.

  • Conducted primary research across the company to bring the Voice of the Customer to product decision making

 Senior UX Researcher

  • Developed a UX research program for Twilio Frontline (now Flex):

    • Defined the customers market 

    • Conducted research on the concepts and interface.

    • Provided user research to drive development priorities.

    • Drove the product from concept to GA.

  • In the Core Messaging  team, developed a roadmap to drive customer understanding working with Messaging APIs.

    • Had a key role in driving  customer research to inform product decision making using both qualitative and quantitative  methodologies.  

    • Drove the A2P research program to onboard customers to new FCC regulations around messaging.

 

UX Research and Design Lead

  • Developed a UX research program in NetApp HCI.

  • Worked with developer tools and APIs.

  • Conducted qualitative and quantitative user research, coordinated conference testing, developed a user database for recruiting,

  • Conducted a hackathon and was part of the Women in Technology Leadership Team. 

User Research Architect

  • Worked for Charles Schwab via Aquent on Digital Rep Solutions.

  • User research was essential to development of the 2020 Roadmap for changes and upgrades to the Schwab Salesforce tools.

Managing Scientist

  • Conducted a variety of user experience research activities for multiple clients at Exponent including Apple and Oculus.

Director User Experience

  • Conducted a generative research program including 45 innovation events including hackathons and design jams in 8 countries with more than 2000 participants from nearly 500 separate organizations

  • Led an international multidisciplinary team of talented designers tasked with creating web and print media to support global innovation events

  • Hired and developed a multinational team of designers and researchers

  • Worked with a team of data science and visualization experts to help define how customers are using software in order to drive design decision-making

Senior Manager UX 

  • Led an international multidisciplinary team supporting user research and design for human resources,  customer relationship management, user assistance and supply chain management applications

  • Ran usability research activities at conferences including user testing and focus group activities

  • Led gamification research and design for Oracle Applications, wrote gamification guidelines for Oracle developers and customers

  •  Patented a method and mechanism for implementing a gamification application

Manager UX

  • Led an international multidisciplinary team supporting user research and design for Oracle Applications User Assistance

  • As an individual contributor, conducted research and published on comics as user assistance, comics to present complex information, mobile user assistance testing, and the benefits of user assistance improvements on task time and success rates

  • Conducted research on millennials’ use of technologies to inform forward-thinking application design. 

  • Oversaw design of infographics as a mechanism to detail usability findings

  • Led a research and design team supporting the healthcare global business unit by conducting research worldwide with pharmaceutical sales representatives in 4 countries to inform designs of the CRM applications for their industry

  • Led and participated in an international research group responsible for all user research activities for the Oracle Applications Unlimited suite of products
